Your data stays in your lane

Privacy Policy

Last updated July 26, 2026

The short version

DriverSignal analyzes visible ride-offer information on your device. We do not ask for your Uber or Lyft password, sell personal information, or operate a cloud profile of your driving history.

Information processed on your device

DriverSignal processes visible offer details such as platform, fare, estimated time, and distance. It combines those details with preferences you enter, including your vehicle MPG, local gas price, minimum earnings targets, and driving-cost assumptions. Offer history, settings, and performance summaries are stored locally on your device.

How offer capture works

On Android, DriverSignal may use notification access, screen capture, or the Accessibility Service to read visible offer-card text while a supported rideshare app is in the foreground. On iPhone, Apple requires you to start a ReplayKit broadcast before DriverSignal can read an offer. These capabilities are used only to identify offer information and present a recommendation.

  • DriverSignal does not click, accept, decline, swipe, or otherwise control a rideshare app.
  • DriverSignal does not request or store your rideshare login credentials.
  • Offer analysis and recommendation math run on the device.

Purchases

Subscriptions and purchases are handled by Google Play or Apple’s App Store. Those stores process payment and account information under their own privacy policies. DriverSignal receives purchase status needed to unlock paid features; it does not receive your full card number.

Information we do not sell

We do not sell or rent personal information. The current app does not include advertising trackers or a DriverSignal analytics backend. If that changes, this policy will be updated before the new collection begins.

Retention and deletion

Locally stored settings and offer history remain on your device until you clear them through available app controls or remove the app. Removing the app normally deletes its local data, subject to your device’s backup and restore settings. Purchase records remain with Apple or Google as required to administer your subscription.

Your choices

You can stop offer capture at any time by ending the broadcast or screen-capture session, disabling the relevant Android permission, or closing DriverSignal. You can also change your MPG, gas price, and earnings floor from the app’s settings.

Children

DriverSignal is a tool for working drivers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the product or applicable requirements change. The date above will identify the latest version. We will provide an in-app or similarly prominent notice before a material change takes effect.
